FCA Summer Camp at
Hardin-Simmons University
FCA Camps are a time of inspiration and perspiration for athletes and coaches who want to reach their greater potential through comprehensive athletic, spiritual and leadership training. This Leadership Camp is for middle school and high school student-athletes who serve as leaders on their local campuses and sports teams. FCA Staff, Huddle Leaders (college athletes), Coaches, and volunteers train campers on practical skills to grow in their faith and discipleship. This camp also focuses on preparing students to multiply their impact as effective FCA leaders, by engaging, equipping, and empowering others to grow in relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.
As a 5-day, 4-night camp at Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, campers will be housed in dorms and divided into “huddles” (small groups) by same gender and age (12-18) for all fun competition and relevant teaching being planned to make this the best week of the summer and a life-transforming experience for everyone.

"He must become greater; I must become less."
As competitors, we always dream of something Greater. We train tirelessly to reach our potential,
seeking approval from teammates, coaches and fans. The promise of a trophy or praise pushes us
to succeed. Our identity becomes about our performance—how well we play, not who we are.
The pressure to succeed fuels our purpose to compete every day. But what happens when our
season ends, or we don’t perform well? What does it say about our potential or our purpose? The
world will say we’re not good enough—that we’ve failed.
But Jesus Christ says differently.
